Howe Library welcomes book recommendations from the UVM community which support the University's teaching and research programs. Recommendations will be evaluated based on the Howe Library's collection development policy (PDF). The Library also provides a robust Interlibrary Loan service which may be an appropriate alternative to acquisition.

NOTICE: Between June 21 and July 22, 2024 Howe Library print book orders will experience delays.   New items may not become available for borrowing or appear in the catalog until late July/early August.   During this time, we recommend that you submit urgent book requests to Interlibrary Loan. If you are requesting a book purchase for Fall Semester 2024, please note this in your “Recommend a Purchase” form, so it can be prioritized accordingly. Ebook requests can be accommodated at this time but will not appear in the catalog until August. People who request ebooks will be given a direct link that can be used immediately.
