Library Computers
Approximately 50 computers are available for patron use in Howe Memorial Library.
Types of Computers Available
- Desktops for UVM Affiliates
Users logon with their UVM NetID to gain access to productivity software suites such as Mathematica, Microsoft Office, and SPSS. See Software on Library Computers for a list of software.
- Public Access Terminals
These Linux-based terminals are available to all library users for use of e-mail and the Internet.
- Desktops with Specialized Software
These desktops are available to all library users with specific tasks to perform. The locations of these machines include Maps, Microforms, and the Center for Multimedia Development.
Laptops in the Library
Library visitors are welcome to bring their own laptops.
The UVM Wireless network is restricted to UVM faculty, staff, and students; a UVM NetID and password are required. Campus visitors can establish UVM Guest Accounts for wireless access.
Printing @ Howe
Library visitors can use the Pharos Print Center to print to library printers.
