Antiracism Reading Resources

We are at a critical moment in American history, with a long-present and swiftly-growing mass movement dedicated to eradicating racism and enacting criminal justice reform impacting all spaces of American life. In the UVM Libraries, we recognize the strong interest many people have now in reading and learning, and we want to help you connect with the resources in our collection, particularly at a time when they are hard to come by elsewhere.
During the COVID-19 crisis, many publishers are temporarily opening up access to their online research resources. The UVM Libraries are working to provide trials to select resources and to expand access to some of our current online holdings for UVM affiliates, as well as promoting open access resources. Together, these resources provide access to a large number of the books on our physical shelves.

March is Women’s History Month in the U.S. This year’s theme, “Valiant Women of the Vote,” honors the upcoming 100th anniversary of the 19th Amendment, which gave American women the right to vote.
As we enter February and Black History Month, Howe Library's featured new books examine racial history and current issues from a number of different perspectives.
