Kanopy is is a platform for streaming video, including feature films and documentaries from around the world. Access to videos on Kanopy has changed as a result of significant cost increases. There are some important new changes for faculty to be aware of as they plan class content or viewing assignments that rely on this resource.

Please let the Libraries’ Multimedia Services Department know if you plan to use any videos on the Kanopy platform in upcoming courses. Once acquired, we have a one-year access license to Kanopy videos. Access to each licensed video will expire automatically on a unique timetable, unless we hear from you.

The UVM Libraries will continue to purchase access to videos on the Kanopy platform in support of teaching and learning. You can request access to videos that aren’t part of UVM’s current online collection, directly through UVM’s Kanopy platform.
