This fall, the Bailey/Howe library added a new single-occupancy, gender-free restroom to our busy first floor. With this addition, Bailey/Howe is now home to six gender-free restrooms, accommodating eight simultaneous users, with access on each of the library’s four floors.
We value the student feedback and collaboration that contributed to increased restroom access in 2016 and 2017. We are proud of our work to create a more inclusive experience for library users. It is critical to our mission that all UVM students are able to use our services, collections, and programs.
To learn more about gender-free restroom access at the University of Vermont, see the Gender Inclusive Taskforce Report of 2016. Please note that restrooms have been added on campus since the publication of this report.
