Archives Month Transcribe-A-Thon

While working from home these last few months, the Silver Special Collections staff have been busy transcribing handwritten letters and diaries as part of our effort to make our collections more widely accessible via our digital collections site.

To celebrate Vermont Archives Month, we’re inviting you to join us in this effort, virtually of course, as we transcribe a series of diaries during the last week of October. Modeled on projects such as By the People from the Library of Congress, we want to enlist your help in our first ever Transcribe-A-Thon. Join us and help make important documents from Vermont’s history available to all.
