Special Collections will host another birthday celebration for WIlliam Shakespeare on April 23. This year, we are celebrating the role of printing in preserving and disseminating Shakespeare's plays and sonnets.

• Come learn about printing in Shakespeare’s day, and experiment with typesetting and inking. Test out a miniature press modeled on the technology of the period to print a Shakespearean keepsake to take with you.
• Make a traditional printer's hat.
• View examples of Shakespeare's works from the Rare Book collection.
• Eat cake!
