Abstract:
Written in a scholarly Personal Narrative Methodology, I describe the impact of how American militarization in Asian countries has produced thousands of fatherless Amerasian daughters. I write about the impact of fatherlessness through a micro and macro narrative of my own experience with my biological father. I focus on establishing and creating a meaningful relationship after reuniting in my quarter life. This manuscript examines major themes and emotions tied to reuniting and reconciling with a biological parent. I discuss the importance of liberating voices of thousands of Amerasian children through the empowerment of telling our own stories that have been missing from literature.
