Search the UVM Libraries' collections

Virtual Private Network (VPN)

The use of many library resources is restricted to the University of Vermont network. The VPN client makes it possible to access these resources from off campus.

VPN will

  • Create a secure connection.
  • Authenticate the user using your UVM network/email account.
  • Install easily (already configured for UVM users).

Installing VPN

The software and documentation may be found at http://www.uvm.edu/software/. Download and run the installer. You must then restart your computer to complete the installation.

Using VPN

Once the VPN client is installed simply start it before trying to use any of the Libraries' restricted resources. You can start and stop the VPN client at anytime without interrupting your Internet connection of exiting any of your applications.
