We are proud in the UVM Libraries to be a part of the preservation of the legacy of retired Senator Patrick Leahy. Documentation of his 48-year career will be housed in Howe Memorial Library and eventually accessible for public study and research in the Jack and Shirley Silver Special Collections reading room. With this donation from the senator, the UVM Libraries is embarking on a grant funded, 5-year, 2.5-million-dollar project that will support three archivists and a team of student interns as they organize, catalog and maintain around 3000 boxes of documents and 20 terabytes of data.
