Article Galaxy Scholar Improves Access

Date:
Monday, December 13, 2021

The UVM Libraries are pleased to announce the implementation of Article Galaxy Scholar, a new tool to enhance Interlibrary Loan and article access services. The service will be integrated into the Libraries’ existing discovery tools, such as CATQuest and the “Find it @ UVM” feature embedded in many research databases.

Article Galaxy Scholar is available 24/7 and can be used to request select articles that aren’t available through the Libraries’ database and journal subscriptions. Delivery of articles requested through Article Galaxy Scholar will occur within a day (often within hours), even on evenings and weekends. UVM faculty, students, and staff can use this service up to ten times a semester. Interlibrary Loan services will remain available, free of cost. Users just need to be logged into the relevant tools with their UVM netID and password and will be prompted to request articles through this service when they are available.

Need help ordering articles? Check out this step-by-step video to learn more.

Please direct any questions to Aaron Nichols, Access and Media Service Librarian, at aaron.nichols@uvm.edu.
