The Howe Library will re-open to UVM affiliates (students, staff, and faculty) on August 31st.
We are deeply committed to the health and safety of our patrons and employees. The library will be open to UVM affiliates (students, staff, and faculty) in accordance with state social distancing guidelines. Seating will be reduced to accommodate social distancing protocols and library visitors will be limited to quiet, independent study. All campus Libraries will also continue to serve the UVM community with robust online access to collections and services.
Health and safety requirements
All visitors will be required to:
- Complete daily health check-ins.
- Be free of symptoms associated with COVID-19.
- Wear a face covering, in accordance with campus and state guidelines.
- Maintain six-foot social distancing guidelines.
- Sanitize equipment and work stations after use.
- Refrain from eating in the library (drinking from personal beverage containers is permitted).
For all COVID-19 information and instruction issued by UVM for the Fall 2020 semester, please refer to the Return to Campus website.
Hours and admittance
