Abstract:
The first time an individual enters the classroom and begins their teaching career is a time of great personal and professional discovery. Many social, economic and cultural forces impact this development and cause a re-examination of ideas associated with identity and cross cultural communication. This is especially the case when a person begins their teaching in a culture that is not their own.
