etc.) that might enrich your specific area of literary research. Use

Electronic
(e-journals)
Most
electronic journals are the
online versions of well-established periodicals in print. They offer
the
full-text
of feature articles, reviews, and creative writing. Coverage date
varies
by publication.

to Locate Electronic Journals Subscribed to by UVM:

will tell you if the journal has an electronic version accessible for
viewing online.

JSTOR
(Journal STORage
Project) [Remote access - UVM only]
Electronic archive for journal backfiles. Searches the
contents of thousands of issues of core scholarly journals in the
humanities, socials sciences, and sciences back to the 19th century.
Issues published within the last 2-5 years are generally not covered.
The purpose of JSTOR is to provide access to back issues of journals, not
current issues.
Project
Muse [Remote access - UVM only]
Extensive collection of electronic journals
published by major university presses in the arts, humanities, social
sciences and mathematics. Year coverage is generally for the last 4-5
years.
Search
Tips:
- Use
the "Advanced Search" mode (JSTOR and Project Muse)
- Limit
your publication type to "Article" to avoid
retrieving book reviews (JSTOR and Project Muse)
- You
may use truncation. The truncation symbol is *

- Enclose a phrase
within quotation marks.
Example:

JSTOR, use proximity searching
to find terms that are within a specific number of words of each other.
Use the tilde (~) as a proximity operator to limit your search Example:
