Trina joined the UVM Libraries faculty in 1998 following a 10-year career in marketing and public relations in which she managed advertising, market research, publications, special events, and media relations. She holds master's degrees in library science and general administration/marketing from the University of Maryland. In recent years, her scholarship and service have focused on the issue of confidentiality of library records, and she currently serves on the Intellectual Freedom Committee of the American Library Association, and is chair of the Vermont Library Association's Intellectual Freedom Committee.
