Library Instruction Request

The Bailey/Howe Information and Instruction Reference Department offers course-related sessions which introduce students to print and electronic information resources as well as the research process. Instruction sessions generally take place in the Bailey/Howe Library Instruction Center in order to demonstrate online materials and facilitate access to print materials. It is also possible to arrange library instruction sessions in your classroom on request.
  • We find that students learn and retain the most from a session when it is directed towards a specific assignment, rather than a general introduction to the library.
  • We strongly encourage faculty to be present during the instruction session.
  • We would like at least 2 weeks advance notice of your session so that we can reserve space for your class.
  • Do not consider your instruction request confirmed until you hear from a reference librarian.
Items marked with a (red dot) are required.
