The University Libraries are disappointed to announce that ClinicalKey, a large collection of biomedical books and journals, will no longer be available to the UVM community, starting on October 22nd. Unfortunately, negotiations with Elsevier, the publisher behind these resources, came to an unfruitful conclusion. Our budget cannot bear the quadrupled price increase Elsevier proposed.

The new tenth edition of the “Intellectual Freedom Manual,” published by ALA Editions in collaboration with ALA's Office for Intellectual Freedom (OIF) is now available. This new edition was made possible with the help of UVM Libraries' own Trina Magi (Assistant Editor). Both in and out of the library, Trina works tirelessly to advocate for privacy and intellectual freedom.

Negotiations to renew UVM's ScienceDirect contract have failed, as Elsevier has come nowhere close to offering a price we can afford. The UVM Libraries remain committed to obtaining any Elsevier articles you need. Interlibrary Loan will fill without charge every request you send us.
