Alternative and Complementary MedicineThe National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM), one of the 27 institutes that make up the United States National Institutes of Health (NIH), has as its mission to support rigorous research on complementary and alternative medicine (CAM), to train researchers in CAM, and to disseminate information to the public and professionals about CAM modalities.
