    Vermont Cooperative Consumer Health Project

The Dana Library was awarded an eighteen month contract from the New England Region of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine in April 2003. The participating organizations included the UVM Dana Library, South Burlington Community Library, Burlington Fletcher Free Library, UVM and Champlain Valley Area Health Education Centers, and the Frymoyer Community Health Resource Center of Fletcher Allen Health Care. A consumer health website was developed; informational pamphlets, brochures and a pathfinder were created. Thirteen public programs and exhibits were held at the public libraries and adjacent communities. Complementary services including: reference services, documentary delivery and interlibrary loan services were developed between the participating institutions.
