Linking to Electronic Reserve Items

You can link directly to your reserve readings in Blackboard.

To do so:

• Locate your Reserve materials on the Reserves web site
• Select the reading list you want to link to from the Course Reserve results list
• Copy and paste the link location (labeled Persistent Link) into Blackboard using the Center for Teaching and Learning instructions at Blackboard How-Tos.

Note: In the example above, the article is on a dedicated reserves server (http://www.uvm.edu/danareserves). Students will be prompted to enter their NetID and password when they click on the link to these materials.

Linking to Information About Print Reserve Materials

You can also link to information about print reserves (title, author, call number, status, etc.) from Blackboard. To do so:

• Locate your Reserve materials on the Reserves web site
• Select the title you want to link to from the Course Reserve results list
• Copy and paste the link location (labeled Persistent Link) into Blackboard using the Center for Teaching and Learning instructions at Blackboard How-Tos.

Always test your link from on and off-campus.
