Find Reserve Books and Visual Materials
- Go the Library Catalog page at
http://voyager.uvm.edu - Click on the Course Reserves tab.
- Click in the Instructor box and a drop-down menu of all instructors appears. Scroll down until your course instructor is highlighted and release the mouse.
- Click on the Search button.
- A list of material on Reserve for the Instructor should appear. However, if no items are found, it may be necessary to search by the course number. Click on the Back button on your browser to return to the previous screen.
- Change the Instructor information back to Any by clicking in the Instructor box and scrolling up to the top of the list.
- Click in the Course box and a drop-down menu of all courses appears. Scroll down until your course is highlighted and release the mouse.
- Click on the Search button.
- A list of Reserve material appears.
- The list consists of titles of books, AVs, articles, and other types of documents. The line under the title gives the location and the call number of the title.
- Click on an underlined title and a record for the title will appear.
- Look carefully at the information in the Call Number field. If a call number or the name of a department appears there (e.g. Anatomy) the item is a book, video, or some other physical object in the Reserve collection of one of the libraries on campus.
- Look carefully at the information in the Location field. This field will tell you what library has the material in its Reserve area. Go to the Reserve desk at the appropriate library and the staff can retreive it for you.
