What's my UVM NetID?
For UVM Undergraduate and Graduate Students, Faculty and Staff
Your UVM NetID (formerly your Zoo Account) is an e-mail account that
you can set up as UVM student, faculty, or staff member. First, go to
the CATCArd office and get your UVM I.D. Once you have your UVM I.D.,
point your web browser to http://www.uvm.edu/account/ to create your UVM NetID.
For UVM Medical students and College of Medicine Faculty and Staff
You do have a UVM NetID (formerly your Zoo Account). It is a separate
e-mail account from your COMIS account. It does not change when you
reset your COMIS password every three months. Reset your UVM NetID at http://www.uvm.edu/account/chpasswd.php. If that doesn't help, Contact COMIS at 656-7300.

Why doesn't Adobe Acrobat work?
Just downloading the file doesn't make the software work. You also have
to install it. Find the file you downloaded (acroreader5.exe), or
download the file again from the UVM Software archive http://www.uvm.edu/software/
(look for "Acrobat Reader") and save it in a place where you can find
it. Double-click on the file name, and follow the instructions on the
screen. If the article still won't load, call the Circulation desk at
Dana at 656-2200. There may be a problem with the article.

Why can't I access electronic resources (journals and databases) from home?
Some electronic resources are available only on UVM and Fletcher
Allen campuses, due to licensing restrictions. Point your browser to Connecting to Dana Library Resources From Off Campus for more information.
For UVM Undergraduate and Graduate Students, Faculty and Staff
It's necessary to install some software on your home computer so you
can access these electronic resources. This software is called EZProxy.
Information and instructions for setting up the EZProxy are available
from Connecting to Dana Library Resources From Off Campus.
For UVM Medical students and College of Medicine Faculty and Staff
UVM medical students and other COMIS users may access electronic journals from off campus using the College of Medicine Intranet. You must install the Citrix ICA Web Client
on your home computer. Then click on "Logon to College Terminal Server"
and follow their directions. For help contact COMIS at 656-7300.
