MyNCBI is a free tool that allows users to customize PubMed. In this workshop, participants will learn how to create a MyNCBI account, save searches, set up email alerts, and create search filters.

With more than 67 million American adults living with high blood pressure – and only 47 percent effectively controlling their disorder – gaining a clear understanding of this major risk factor for heart disease and stroke is critical. Hear about the evolutionary physiology of blood pressure, the key mechanisms that regulate blood pressure, and how to diagnose and treat this largely asymptomatic condition according to the most recent guidelines.

I Can't Recall: Memory and the Impact of Neurological Disorders

Discover what constitutes normal memory, how memory is formed and used, and how it is impacted by the normal aging process. Examine the causes, incidence and prevalence of dementia, as well as its medical, social and economic impact. Major neurological conditions that cause memory loss and dementia – including Alzheimer's disease, frontotemporal dementia, Lewy Body disease, and vascular disease and stroke – will also be discussed.
