Multi-Generational Vermont Physician Families

The Dana Library has a current exhibit honoring several Vermont families with multiple generations of UVM College of Medicine graduates. Amongst them, the Uptons, Terriens, Irwins, and Boves have produced thirteen College of Medicine graduates since 1898.

Community Medical School: More Than a Snore: Causes, Treatment and Risks of Sleep Apnea

Up to 18 million people in the U.S. are estimated to suffer from obstructive sleep apnea, with two to four percent of Americans yet to be diagnosed. Learn about the causes of sleep apnea, common symptoms, how clinicians diagnose and treat this condition, and discuss the immediate and long-term health impacts when this disorder is left untreated. Presented by Garrick Applebee, M.D., Assistant Professor of Neurological Sciences and Pediatrics.

This workshop will explore the concepts of Personal Information Management (PIM) and Knowledge Management (KM), and offer a few concrete tips for managing your information. Tools such as EndNote, DropBox, and EssentialPIM will be covered.
