Limit PubMed to Journals Available at UVM and FAHC

There are three ways to limit your search to journals owned by UVM.

  1. Connect to PubMed from one of the Dana Medical Library web pages. Perform a search. Your search results will be automatically sorted into three tabs. The first tab is labelled All and contains all records from your search. The second tab is labelled Dana Medical Library. The records in this tab are limited to articles available through the Dana Medical Library, either electronically or in print. The third tab is labelled Free full text and contains records for articles available free to anyone on the Internet.

  2. Type in a search. Add AND loprovuvmdmlib [filter] to your search statement, and click Go.
Ex., "valproic acid coma AND loprovuvmdmlib[filter]"

  3. Set a tab using your MyNCBI account. Click on the link on the PubMed home page to sign in or to register. Then click on the small "tools" icon to the right of the filter tabs. Under Filter Selection, click Browse. Under LinkOut, go to Libraries, and click on Dana Medical Library. You can set a result tab and a link icon for each library that you select.
For either method, change the display format to Abstract or Citation to view UVM icons. Journal titles available in print will have the UVM Journals icon and those available electronically will have the UVM E-Journals icon. Note that you must access PubMed using the link on the Dana Medical Library homepage in order for the UVM icons to be displayed.
