UpToDate is a database of clinical topic reviews which summarize knowledge in various areas of medicine including adult primary care and internal medicine, cardiovascular medicine, endocrinology and diabetes, family practice, gastroenterology and hepatology, hematology, infectious diseases, nephrology and hypertension, obstetrics, gynecology and women's health, oncology, pulmonary and critical care and rhematology. While topic reviews are written by physicians and peer-reviewed by UpToDate's editors, the procedure for evidence location or selection varies by subject area. The procedure for updating reviews is not described.
