Ask a Librarian
In order to access Library resources remotely you will first need to establish Internet access with an Internet Service Provider (ISP). See UVM's Off-Campus Internet page for more information: http://www.uvm.edu/ets/isp/.
UVM affiliates (who do not use COMIS) have two choices for connecting from off campus.
UVM College of Medicine students and employees on the COMIS network should contact the COMIS help desk at 656-7300.
FAHC Employees should check with the FAHC IS help desk at 847-1414 to access FAHC systems remotely. Access to FAHC systems will include access to library resources.
UVM has established relationships with some local ISP providers. See UVM's Off-Campus Internet page for more information: http://www.uvm.edu/ets/isp/.
Information about your UVM Network ID is available from UVM's Computing and Information Technologies Office.
Use EZProxy if you only want to get into UVM Libraries electronic journals and databases from off campus, and you don't want, or can't, load software onto the computer you're using.
Logon for EZProxy access to Dana Library resources.
Use VPN if you want to get into your account on a UVM department server from off campus, and you want access to library ejournals and databases from off campus.
Learn more about VPN.
To load VPN, go to sslvpn.uvm.edu and sign in with your UVM NetID and password.
