Interlibrary Loan (ILL) provides access to materials that are not available in the Dana Medical Library.
Interlibrary Loan is the process of borrowing materials that this library does not own. Document Delivery is a service of supplying journal articles and book chapters from our own collection.
ILL services are provided for faculty, staff and students of the University of Vermont and Fletcher Allen Health Care, and for Health Research Affiliates.
You can request an ILL by filling out the online form, sending an e-mail to danaill@uvm.edu, phoning (802) 656-4382, or sending a FAX to 656-0762.
Depending on your affiliation, the cost ranges from $0 to $25 for routine requests. Expedited services cost more. Specific questions about cost may be referred to the ILL office at 656-4382 or danaill@uvm.edu
Average turnaround time for journal article requests is 2 business days.
RUSH service may be available with a quicker than average turnaround time. Contact the ILL office for assistance.
Yes, we can send your documents by email, through U.S. Mail or campus mail, or by fax. For items which need to be picked up in the library, we can notify you by email or phone.
