Deux de la vague
Directors Jean-Luc Godard and François Truffaut changed the face of cinema forever as members of the French New Wave. They also happened to be best friends. This film documents their combative and creative relationship during their time as writers for the Cahiers du cinema, their work on The 400 blows and Breathless, and their dramatic falling out following the worker and student strikes of May 1968. It also presents the unique bond both filmmakers shared with the actor Jean-Pierre Léaud, who started his career as a child and grew up with Godard and Truffaut as brilliantly bickering father figures. Includes clips of over 30 films.

Girls can't swim
Teenagers Gwen and Lise have always spent their summer vacations together on the Brittany coast, but this summer is different. The death of Lise's estranged father keeps her at home, leaving Gwen alone to explore her budding sexuality with the local boys of the resort town. One day, Lise shows up unexpectedly at Gwen's house, but their reunion is soon soured by Lise's resentment of Gwen's newfound interest in the opposite sex. The days that follow are filled with awkwardness, tenderness and rage as the two girls reexamine their friendship amid the strains of adolescence.

Nouvelle amie The new girlfriend /
François Ozon's psychological drama about Claire, a young woman whose closest friend since childhood, Lea, passes away leaving behind her husband, David, and a newborn baby. One day Claire drops by David's house unexpectedly, and finds him feeding his baby with a bottle while dressed in his dead wife's clothes. He explains that Lea was aware of his predilection, and his relief that he's able to share his secret with someone moves both of them to create a female persona for him named Virginia. As David begins to identify more strongly as Virginia, this leads to confusing and conflicting feelings in Claire, and causes a rift between her and her husband.
