--no lies
"'...no lies' presents itself as a cinema vérité documentary. A film student interviews a friend to fulfill a class assignment. Shot in one day at Park Avenue and 33rd Street in New York, at the home of filmmaker Muffie Mayer, the film features cameraman Alex [sic] Hirschfeld and actress Shelby Leverington. It was made by Mitchell Block as his MFA thesis at NYU School of the Arts, Institute of Film and Television, Graduate Division, in 1972." -- Container. "Speeding? is a short film for driver's educational classes on speeding and is still widely used. Again, Alec Hirschfeld is the cameraman and Block populates the film with actors from television and Hollywood films...and gives directors Martin Brest and Stephen Verona rare onscreen appearances. The Corona, California traffic unit and the California Highway Patrol provide the film with the reality of working traffic officers." -- Container.

Poster girl
Poster girl: The story of Robynn Murray, an all-American high-school cheerleader turned "poster girl" for women in combat, distinguished by Army Magazine's cover shot. Now home from Iraq, her tough-as-nails exterior begins to crack, leaving Robynn struggling with the debilitating effects of post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Shot and directed by first-time filmmaker Sara Nesson, POSTER GIRL is an emotionally raw documentary that follows Robynn over the course of two years as she embarks on a journey of self-discovery and redemption, using art and poetry to redefine her life. Iraq paper scissors: A documentary film that takes us into the lives of five Iraq War veterans struggling with PTSD as they discover that they have dreams and talents beyond machine guns and combat. Through the Combat Paper Project, these young vets have created a unique way to cope, by transforming their combat uniforms into paper, books and art. Expressing themselves as artist and individuals, those who have served are refusing to be forgotten and more importantly, hoping to be understood.
